Making Room for God

Dear Rally Partners,

I consider it a honor to write to you every month, and I do not take any letter I have written lightly. More importantly, I believe God is always speaking to His people, and that His words are what lead all of us into a victorious life!

This month, I want to drop a word into your hearts, and it’s what I’ve been preaching on for the last month. On

September 20th, we had a Rally Faith Night in Chino, California, and this is the word that God gave me to preach: it was titled “Making Room for God”. If you’d like to hear it for yourself, you can rewatch the whole service rallymin.org.

But what does making room for God look like? When you make room for God, you are…

In His Word daily - Praying daily

Praying in the spirit daily - Taking time to be quiet and listen daily

Giving offerings - Honoring God with your tithes

Being a servant to others - Going to church

Continually listening to messages - Attending faith conference, meetings, and conventions

Making the effort to complete a list like this takes time, but it also gives God an opportunity to move in your life; this is what I mean by making room for God. These are things that you have to do on purpose, because our flesh does not want to discipline itself in the things of the spirit.

Romans 8:1 KJV

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Condemnation can make you feel like you’ve come up short in life; it can also be a hindrance that stops us from

prospering. Ultimately, condemnation is a work of the devil.

But Romans 8:1 tells us that those who walk after the spirit will not have condemnation, but it takes effort on our part to do the walking. It takes an effort to make room for God!

Rally Partners, I believe this is a big word from God, and it’s the only way to thrive in these last days before the coming of His son, Jesus. If we refuse to make room for God, we make ourselves vulnerable to the snares of the enemy.

Romans 8:5 KJV

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

This one scripture tells us that those who are after the flesh have their attention set on flesh things. If we sow to the flesh we shall reap of the flesh, but if we sow to the spirit of God we shall receive from the spirit of God. Whatever you make room for you shall reap from, whether from the spirit or from the flesh.

Let me finish with this word that God said to me: “Rick where do you desire me to take you? Wherever it is, you must first make room for me and I will make room for you in the place that you desire for me to take you!”

Then He gave me this scripture to back it up:

Matthew 6:33 KJV

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God is telling us to make room for Him in our lives. If we do, He will make room for us in His life, and His life is the good life, the blessed life, the healthy life, and the prosperous life! Making room for God must be done on purpose, and if we make room for God He will bless us with all His promises on purpose!

With all that being said, we call you blessed spiritually, physically, mentally, socially, and financially in ministry and

business! Glory!
